About Us

In 2012, the establishment of DIIT brought about a renaissance in Islamic intellectualism and Islamic thought in Indian subcontinent.

DIIT aims to introduce the thoughts and revolutionary literature of Deobandi Ulama to the Islamic/Arab and the Western communities of the scholars. So far, DIIT has done some marvelous works. DIIT’s bilingual (Arabic/English) refereed research journal has produced some research articles excerpted from the original works of Deobandi Ulama. Apart from this, first ever project depicting ilm al-Kalam (Islamic scholastic theology) of Muhammad Qasim Al-Nanawtawi, founder of Deoband School has been successfully published from a Western institution.

Simultaneously, DIIT offers certificate, diploma, vocational education and post-graduate study programs and research in Deobandi Islamic Thought, Islamic Banking and Finance.

News & Updates

6 month Research Training program for young scholars in Islamic/religious studies : This program shall help young and new scholars learn basic research methodology and will pave way to publish papers in Scopus journals. Also, young scholars will be able to engage with international academic circle.

First ever research article published in the West on Nanawtawi’s Corpus, Introducing intellectual and theological roots of Deobandi School : Dr. Atif Suhail Siddiqui, President of DIIT attended Yale University as a Visiting Fellow from 2018-19. He has ultimately produced a research work.

Applications are invited for one year diploma in Islamic Thought and certificate program in Islamic Banking: Madrasah and University Graduates are highly encouraged to attend this program; this shall give a full insight of modern Islamic literature.
