Maulana Abdullah Javed
Abdullah Javed belongs to a prominent religious family of Ghazipur, UP. He is a graduate of DU Deoband. He is the famous editor of voluminous Mazahir-e Haq, the Urdu commentary of Mishkat. Currently he is working as an administrator in the Education and Curriculum Dept (Talimat) of Darul Uloom Waqf Deoband.
Dr. Atif Suhail Siddiqui
Ex-Fellow at the department of religious studies at prestigious Yale University, Atif Suhail is the Founder and President of Deoband Institute of Islamic Thought (DIIT). Atif Suhail completed graduation in Commerce in 1998 from Udaipur, Rajasthan, later he earned a degree of M.A. in Islamic Studies from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. Atif moved to International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and got a Ph. D in Usul al-Din and Comparative Religion in 2010. Prior to establishing DIIT Atif was working as a visiting lecturer at Dept. of Aqidah and Islamic Thought, Academy of Islamic Studies, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Dr. Mufti Yasir Nadeem al-Wajidi
Yasir Nadeem is a graduate of prestigious Darul Uloom Deoband, India; he obtained a postgraduate degree in Arabic Literature from American Open University of VA, USA, later he moved to IIUM for a doctoral degree in Hadith, which he earned in 2011. Yasir is the Founding-Director of Darul Uloom Online, lecturer at Institute of Islamic Education, Elgin, IL and Director and Deputy Dean of DIIT; he also serves as the deputy editor of Tarjuman-e Deoband, an Urdu monthly, regularly published from Deoband.
Anwar Khan Qasmi
Anwar Khan, Vice President of DIIT, an MA in English from MANU, Hayderabad, got his first degree in Islamic religious sciences and master degree in hadith from prestigious Darul Uloom Deoband; in 2000, he was selected into the inaugural batch of the master degree in Hadith (Takhassus fi al-Hadith). In 2003, he began his career as a language teacher and established an institute of Arabic and English in Deoband. He is also the Director of Indo-Arab Multilingual Pvt. Ltd., this company began translating books on different topics ranging from Islamic law, history, morality, and ethics etc., until today there are more than 200 books to Anwar’s credit, which he translated or supervised. Anwar is also serving the editorial board as the Editor in Chief of DIIT’s refereed research journal.
